Radford, Va. – Radford's tennis teams split with Norfolk State, while the men also defeated Virginia Military Institute at Dedmon Center Courts in non-conference action. The men defeated NSU, 6-1 and VMI, 7-0, while the women were swept, 7-0 by NSU. The men improve to 5-18 after winning their last two matches and the women fall to 2-12 on the season.

Against NSU, the men, they picked a point in doubles, winning two of three matches and went on to take five of six singles. In the three through six singles, Khalid Lhamidi, Ross Harvey, Robel Menigsteab and Dominic Soeur won in straight sets, while Joakim Arhammar battled back after dropping the first set to take his match. The women were swept in doubles and five of the six singles went in straight sets.

Later in the afternoon RU's men swept VMI, sweeping the doubles and win five singles in straight sets and the other by forfeit.

The men return to action on April 12 when they take on James Madison in Harrisonburg at 3:00 p.m. The women have concluded their regular season and will prepare for the Big South Championships that take place April 18-20 at Elon University.
